Datasheets(X)
Wütop® Mono Façade is suitable for back-ventilated façade constructions with closed and open cladding under normal loads. For open cladding, a joint width of up to 20 mm for horizontal or vertical joints and an open joint proportion of up to 20 % are permitted.
Install Wütop® Mono Façade membrane with the coated, smooth side facing outwards. It can be laid horizontally or vertically to the foundation.
Fix the façade membrane tightly with the coated side facing outwards, but without overstretching, and fasten it in the top third of the overlapping area, e.g. with a hammer tacker. Ensure fastenings are covered.
Overlap individual membranes by a width of min. 10 cm. Using the self-adhesive strips, seal the adhesive joint under constant pressure, ensuring it is smooth. Secure edges, corners and any loose overlapping areas. Apply vertical overlapping areas on a firm surface (e.g. bars).
Windproof bonding of overlapping areas and joints on hard, flat surfaces can be performed with Eurasol® adhesive tapes or the LuWi Tack 525 adhesive. LuWi Tack 525 adhesive is also suitable for bonding applications on masonry and all types of connection bonding. Pretreat highly absorbent surfaces with primer.
All openings, connections and edges must be made permanently airtight and windproof with materials suitable for outdoor use.
Repair any large areas of damage to the Wütop® Mono Façade membrane using patches of the original membrane and adhesive tape or adhesive. Small areas of damage can be mended with adhesive tape.
Standard rolls can be cut using a saw. Always overlap the cut edge during installation.
The Wütop® Mono Façade membrane can be exposed to the elements for 12 weeks. Cladding must be installed after this point to prevent UV damage. We generally recommend that the façade is clad as quickly as possible.
Store the rolls in a dark, dry environment.
