Würth FLK fibre reinforced LF is a solvent-free, UV-resistant, highly durable, single component, liquid sealant with a hybrid base (SMP). The embedded polyester fibres are required when a standard-compliant seal with fleece inlay is not technically possible.
The liquid plastic hardens into a seamless, long-lasting, hydrolysis-resistant and breathable sill membrane.
Hardens in reaction with moisture in the air and substrate.
Advantages
- Supplied ready to use for ease of application
- Virtually odourless in application
- Formation of a seamless and gapless, highly elastic membrane
- Full adhesion to the surface
- Resistant to hydrolysis, frost and UV rays
- High thermal resistance without softening and frost resistance between -20 °C to +80 °C
- Breathable (water vapour permeable)
- Resistant to cleaning agents, household chemicals, oils and sea water
- Easy to repair after mechanical damage
Consumption
Around 2 kg/m²
The amount is based on the practical application by applying with a spatula on a smooth surface under optimum conditions. Factors such as surface porosity, temperature, humidity, application procedure and processing can increase or decrease the amount used.
Datasheets(X)
Würth FLK LF fibre-reinforced is versatile.
- Sealing of flat roofs, balconies and terraces
- Sealing of penetrations, inclines and connections
- Sealing and connection of bitumen membranes, EPDM and PVC roofing membranes
- Emergency repairs or working in hard-to-reach places
Surface preparation:
Careful preparation of the surface is essential for optimum results and a long service life.
The surface must be dry and free of grease, dirt and dust. All loose parts must be carefully removed. Maximum substrate moisture should be 5 %.
Primer:
Prime with Würth adhesion primer LF for PVC roofing membranes, bituminous cold self-adhesive membranes, zinc, zinc plated sheet metal and steel. PVC window and door frames must also be primed.
Apply the primer as specified in the data sheets and allow it to dry.
Application:
Pull the protective film off the container and thoroughly stir Würth FLK fibre reinforced LF before use!
Apply the sealant material to the prepared substrate and smooth it out.
Opened containers should be used up promptly. If a skin has formed on the material in the bucket, it can be removed and the remaining material can still be used.
