Datasheets(X)
Bonding of bitumen strips, construction films, sheathing membranes, joint tapes and vapour barriers/retarders on conventional building substrates.
In building construction, prefabricated building construction for interior finishing and dry walling as well as for sealing window reveals and critical corner formations.
For bonding and sealing large-scale applications in indoor and outdoor areas (see panel products).
Suitable for airtight, windproof and rainproof connections to the building structure in accordance with DIN 4108-7 or RAL installation in the roof, façade and window area.
The application surfaces must be clean, dry, stable and free of grease, oils, release agents and other impurities.
On critical substrates, a suitable adhesive primer must be applied to the cleaned substrate beforehand.
Apply a continuous, 8 mm thick bead of Luwitack 525 to the stable, pre-treated substrate. Uneven sections in the substrate can be compensated by increasing the application quantity accordingly. Apply the film or joint tape to be bonded "loosely" using a discharge loop and press the film/tape lightly onto the adhesive bead. Do not apply pressure or compress the adhesive bead; a clamping batten is not required.
Avoid tensile loads during curing! Do not apply tension to construction films or joint tapes in the connection area when laying them. If necessary, secure them mechanically. Check the bond again before carrying out further work, such as cladding and plastering.
