Datasheets(X)
Outdoors:
When fastening the securing battens on the rafters, nails or screws penetrate the underlay membrane or roof protective film. These points can lead to water entry with construction damage in case of rain. PE nail sealing tape provides a reliable seal and therefore protects against damage.
Note:
In accordance with Austrian standard ÖNORM B 4119:2018-03, nail seals must be installed in all roofing membranes. The width of the nail seal must correspond to that of the counter battens. In the case of counter batten widths in excess of 70 mm, the width of the nail seals must be at least 70 mm.
Indoors:
For sealing nailing and stapling areas on vapour barriers and vapour retarders.
Outdoors:
Bond PE nail sealing tape to the outside of the underlay membrane parallel to the rafter. Then attach the securing batten to the rafter and press the nail sealing tape. When fastening the securing battens on the rafters, any unevenness must be compensated by pressing.
Indoors:
Apply PE nail sealing tape to the rafters or the vapour retarder/vapour barrier.
Please note that the application surface must be dry and free of grease, dust and chips.
