Product packaging made from 100 % PCR (recycled plastic from household waste) and 100 % recyclable
- Ejector pins are not included in the scope of delivery. The ejector pin with article number 0630940001 is suitable for annular cutters with a diameter < 18 mm. The ejector pin with article number 0630940002 is suitable for annular cutters with a diameter ≥ 18 mm
- The annular cutters are only equipped with high-quality Sandvik carbide teeth
- Unlike twist drill bits, the annular cutter only machines a thin ring of material rather than the complete bore diameter. The drill core is pushed out by the ejector pin using spring force. Annular cutters therefore have a much shorter drilling time and much lower energy requirements compared to twist drill bits
- Sufficient continuous cooling during the entire drilling process considerably increases the service life of the annular cutter. Do not use dry
- Wear appropriate protective equipment, such as eye protection, hearing protection devices and protective gloves
- Take off loose clothing or jewellery which could get caught in the moving parts
- Before use, ensure perfect concentricity and the correct clamping function of the tool drive
- On mobile magnetic or stationary pillar drills for making large bores in steel construction applications. Annular cutters must not be used with hand-held tools!
- Use on magnetic drills from Fein with QuickIn holder is possible using an adapter
- Use on stationary drills with Morse taper holder is possible with suitable arbour holder
- Insert the ejector pin into the annular cutter. Caution: Never use without an ejector pin!
- Push the annular cutter into the arbour holder of the drilling unit and screw the hexagon socket screws tightly
- When using quick-clamping mounts, the annular cutter is locked automatically. Ensure that the annular cutter is correctly positioned in the holder
- Side stress on the drill when in use may lead to the tool breaking
- Fix the drill unit into the right position for drilling. Make sure the drill unit has a stable footing
- Before drilling, secure the drilling unit if necessary with a safety strap, particularly if using on vertical surfaces and for overhead work
- Take note of the speed table and use coolant
- Begin drilling carefully at a slow feed rate (centre punching and pre-drilling are not required). Never hit the cutting head on the workpiece being processed
- Ensure that the feed rate remains stable and even throughout the entire drilling process. A feed rate that is too slow or too fast can result in damage to the annular cutter
- To avoid the formation of long chips when cutting deep holes, insert the drill bit several times and remove the chips every time
- Remove the chips and drill core after cutting each hole. Risk of injury: The chips and drill core may be very hot and sharp!
