For sealing joints and cracks in road, rail and bridge construction
The joint edges must be clean, dust-free, dry and load-bearing. Insert a bitumen primer as in the hot casting process in the case of joint sealing according to the "ZTV Fug" joint standard and leave the primer to dry.
Roll out the crack tape into or over the joint. Melt with the gas burner and press onto the edge of the joint or heat until the tape flows into the joint as a liquid mass. For rolled tarmac surfaces, lay the crack tape so it overlaps by 5 mm for bonding with the edge and additional sealing on the surface. For cast tarmac surfaces, lay flush with the upper edge.
