Solvent-free and bitumen-free
When glueing over joints, the minimum adhesive surface of the butyl should be at least 1/3 of the tape width per contact surface. Overhead adhesion tasks are not permitted without additional mechanical fixing. If the butyl tape overlaps joints, the woven contact surface must be pre-treated with Würth primer spray. This product is not suitable for bonding over expansion joints to compensate for the movement of components. Appropriate expansion joint profiles are to be used in this respect.
For sealing all gaps and joints in indoor and outdoor applications in windows, doors, metal and wood construction. Nail sealing for reliable sealing below securing battens.
Adhesive surfaces must be dry, load-bearing and free from dust and release agents. Porous surfaces such as concrete, plaster, etc. must be pretreated with Würth primer spray. Please observe the application instructions on the product datasheet.
Use a pressure roller to apply the required pressure. Folds and kinks should be avoided or rolled out carefully.
Application as nail sealing tape
Adhesive surfaces must be dry, load-bearing, and free of dust and release agents. Apply the fleece-laminated butyl tape to the outside of the underlay membrane parallel to the rafter. Then fasten the counter batten and compress the nail sealing tape. When the nail sealing tape is bonded to the underside of the counter batten, any unevenness must be equalised by pressing on.
