The cable boxes consist of a sheet steel housing with internal packages that foam up from approx. 100 °C in the event of a fire. The boxes remain open in the interior and, when installed, are sealed against flue gas on the front sides with melamine resin foam plugs and a permanently elastic sealing compound.
In order to ensure the permanent functioning of the cable boxes, the packages in the boxes must not be damaged. No holes may be drilled in the boxes. The boxes must not be cut.
Solid walls ≥ 100 mm thick (in accordance with EN 13501-2)
Lightweight dividers ≥ 100 mm thick (2x 12.5 mm plasterboard on both sides)
