No chemical reactions at the construction site
The expansion speed of VKP® Trio BF depends on the temperature. In high temperatures, store the tape in a cool location; in low temperatures, store in a warm location.
For joints between solid components, please use VKP® Plus, art. no. 0875 0xxx. In the bottom joint area, we recommend using Flexband tape, art. no. 0875 0xxx or EPDM outdoor sealing tape, art. no. 0875 150xxx. Perform adequate tests when applying paints and sealants. No interactions with commercially available plastering mortar. The window is secured using spaced installation.
Façade joints subjected to heavy loads must be sealed with VKP® Plus.

VKP® Trio BF is wedge-shaped, so the material is thicker on the inside than on the outside. In the joint, this waterproofing ensures that the vapour diffusion gradient from inside to outside required by the German RAL quality assurance association for windows and doors is achieved.
1. Preparation
- Clean any dirt from the surfaces
- Cut off approx. 2 cm from the beginning and end of the tape
- Add approx. 2 cm of additional length per metre when cutting the tape
2. Installation on windows
Remove the protective film from the self-adhesive strip and stick the tape to the window profile. Make sure the positioning is correct on the inside and outside (grey label on the inside).
3. Appearance in the corner area
The tape is butt-jointed at the corners and must be compressed longitudinally. Leaks must be prevented. If available, seal with Flexband adhesive (art. no. 0893 710 xxx).
