- Very good thermal insulation properties
- vapour-permeable
- Flexible adaptation to unevenness and filling of cavities
- Time-saving application
- Compatible with adjacent building materials
- Meets the requirements of Austrian standard ÖNORM B5320 as an insulation material in the connection joint. A separate layer must be produced to resist air and driving rain, e.g. using sealing films
The expansion speed of pre-compressed sealing tapes depends on the temperature. In high temperatures, store the tape in a cool location; in low temperatures, store in a warm location. To ensure the desired insulation or sealing effect of the tape when installed, the specified application areas must be adhered to.
When used purely for thermal insulation, the joint must be sealed separately against air, driving rain and/or vapour diffusion, e.g. using sealing films or butyl tapes with aluminium lamination.
The usage instructions are recommendations based on the tests we have conducted and on our experience; carry out your own tests before each application. Due to the large number of applications and storage and processing conditions, we do not assume any liability for a specific application result. Thermal insulation and joint filling in connection joints of components with large joint dimensions, e.g. in the case of lifting/sliding doors.
Clean the surfaces of contamination. Cut off approx. 2 cm from the beginning and end of the tape. Take the additional length of approx. 2 cm/m into account when cutting the tape to length. Remove the protective film from the self-adhesive strip and adhere the tape to the window profile, compressing lightly.
In corners, butt the tape up against the edges and compress in the longitudinal direction. Leaks must be avoided.
