- No pre-drilling
- Thread moulding with collar forming, therefore higher retention force
- Chipless screwing through material displacement
- High sealing effect due to chip-free displacement of the material
Test report on the air tightness of rectangular ducting from the European Test Centre for Housing Ventilation Equipment (Europäisches Testzentrum für Wohnungslüftungsgeräte e.V. - TZWL).
Recommendation for chip-free processing:
Do not exceed a maximum tightening torque of 6.7 Nm.
1. Place the screw applying increased pressure while turning slowly
2. Reduce the contact pressure as soon as the screw begins to pull itself in
3. Now increase the rotation speed again to approx. 2000-2500 rpm
4. Just before the head approaches the surface, reduce the rotation speed until the head is flush
