To establish reference values, the following test was carried out:
The universal connector was used as a shelf support. A 40 mm diameter connector was used in combination with an M10 x 140 mm anchor screw. The holder was installed in a 28 mm thick chipboard wall. The anchor screw was screwed into a chipboard panel 50 mm thick, 400 mm tall and 1,000 mm wide.
The centre-to-centre spacing of the anchor screws was 700 mm. With uniform load distribution over the whole panel area, the maximum load capacity was 15 kg.
Since there can be significant variation in the strength of materials used, we recommend that you carry out your own load test in advance.
