This refractometer is used to determine the temperature down to which coolant and windscreen wash remains safe from freezing and also determines the battery acid concentration. Operating fluid Ad Blue® can also be tested with the device.

1. Check whether prism and flap are clean.
2. Using a pipette, place a drop of test liquid on the prism.
3. Close the flap.
4. A sharp LIGHT-DARK dividing line will appear on the scale.
5. After the test is complete, clean the prism and flap with a clean, dry cloth.
