Advantages
- Simple processing with roller or brush
- Low-odour
- Excellent adhesion promotion
- Resistant to hydrolysis
- Can be diluted with water
- Frost and heat resistant
- Resistant to chemicals
- Prevents the formation of dust
Consumption
An application quantity of 100-200 g/m² in one or two layers is recommended. The quantity information
is based on the use of a roller on a smooth surface in optimum conditions. Factors such as surface porosity, temperature and application method can increase the consumption.
Caution
Metal ball blasters damage the surfaces and adversely affect adhesion!
The Würth FLK Primer NS is the ideal surface preparation for new buildings and repair work with:
- Black covers
- Various metals
- Ceramic tiles
- Glass
- Natural stones
- Acrylic seals
- Also suitable for use on porous surfaces such as concrete, wet concrete or plaster. FLK Primer NS is applied before polyurethane and epoxy-based seals, coatings or sealants or used as an adhesion promoter between coating layers after the coating time is exceeded.
Empty FLK Primer NS Component B fully into the container of FLK Primer NS Component A and mix thoroughly with a mechanical stirrer for 3-5 minutes. To prevent unmixed residue being processed, the mixed mass is decanted into a clean container and stirred again for one minute.
The mixture must now pre-react for 3-5 minutes. After this, the desired processing viscosity can be set by adding 15-25% pure water.
The ready-to-use primer is now applied with a roller or brush until the surface is completely covered.
After 6-12 hours (no later than 24 hours) Würth FLK liquid plastic is applied on the still slightly sticky primer.
The processing temperature is between +10°C and +35°C. Low temperatures can delay hardening. High humidity can affect the surface of the coating visually.
In the event of brittle or very porous surfaces (e.g. lightweight concrete, certain cement mortars) two layers of Würth Primer NS are absolutely recommended. Preparation
Careful preparation of the surface is essential for optimum finish and a long service life. The surface must be dry and free of grease, dirt and dust. All loose parts must be carefully removed. The substrate moisture should be max. 5%.
The compressive strength of the surface should be at least 25 MPa, the adhesion at least 1.5 MPa.
New concrete structures must dry for at least 28 days. Old, loose coatings, dirt, greases, oils, organic substances and dust must be removed with a grinding machine.
Smooth any surface irregularities and loose parts and thoroughly remove sanding dust.
