The ABS Lanyard can be used as a temporary lifeline system for horizontal use on flat and pitched roofs.
But the ABS Lanyard can do so much more
Most standard anchor systems use twisted rope, which is not only considerably heavier than kernmantle rope, but also wears out more quickly as it is prone to kinks. The kernmantle rope used in the ABS Lanyard is considerably more robust and weather resistant. Kernmantle rope does not kink, and since the ABS Lanyard absorbs significantly less moisture than the twisted polyamide version, this makes it more weather resistant.
More advantages of the ABS Lanyard
The system is approved for a maximum fall distance of 21 metres, and the kernmantel rope stretches less than conventional ropes in the event of a fall, which reduces the fall distance.

- DIN EN 353-2:2002 and DIN EN 358:2000
- Edge-tested kernmantle rope (dia. 12 mm) in accordance with RFU CNB/P/11.075
The ABS Lanyard is designed for securing up to four people simultaneously. The carabiner with screw lock at the end of the kernmantle rope enables it to be easily and securely fastened to anchor points. The other end of the rope is fitted with a wire rope clamp, which serves as the clamping element. The ABS Lanyard also features freely moving carabiners for attaching to intermediate brackets.
