The ABS Lanyard can be used as a temporary lifeline system for horizontal use on flat and pitched roofs.

But the ABS Lanyard can do so much more

Most standard anchor systems use twisted rope, which is not only considerably heavier than kernmantle rope, but also wears out more quickly as it is prone to kinks. The kernmantle rope used in the ABS Lanyard is considerably more robust and weather resistant. Kernmantle rope does not kink, and since the ABS Lanyard absorbs significantly less moisture than the twisted polyamide version, this makes it more weather resistant.

More advantages of the ABS Lanyard

The system is approved for a maximum fall distance of 21 metres, and the kernmantel rope stretches less than conventional ropes in the event of a fall, which reduces the fall distance.

  • Includes adjustable rope shortening device

  • Includes tear webbing shock absorber

  • Secures up to 4 people simultaneously

  • Includes carabiners that can be threaded on as required (15 m = 1 hook, 23 m = 2 hook, 30 m = 3 hook)
NoticeThe temporary lifeline system is available in 15, 23 and 30 m lengths. For optimal performance, use the lanyard in combination with the ABS RopeGlide roller glider and a fall arrester.
