The ABS-LockSeal XL Bitu extra-long sealing collar can be used to insulate anchor points and anchor posts. Our XL collars are 300 mm long with a plate diameter of 420 mm. The homogeneous seal is specially designed for bitumen roofs and has a notch edge every 20 mm to help you cleanly cut the collar to the desired length.
There are two versions of the ABS-LockSeal XL Bitu sealing collars available. The narrow model can be used to seal anchor points and anchor posts with a diameter of 16 mm. This makes the collars ideal for use with personal anchor points (ABS-Lock III and ABS-Lock X) and lifeline systems (ABS-Lock SYS) from ABS Safety. If the ABS Safety anchor systems are equipped with an additional anchor post, use the wider collar, which is designed for rods with a diameter of 42 mm.

The end of the collar is sealed using heat-shrink tubing. Heat the tubing with a heat gun so that it shrinks to form a tight and permanent seal that prevents moisture ingress. The required heat-shrink tubing is included in the scope of delivery - sealing collars for posts with 16 mm and 24 mm diameter are supplied with 100 mm-long heat-shrink tubing, and 150 mm tubing for 42 mm posts.
